TOY NEWS FOR 2/22/2014 - PLAYMATES - TEENAGE MUTANAT NINJA TURTLES CLASSICS - 1990 MOVIE TURTLES
I can't say I'm too interested in this year's TMNT Classics offerings from Playmates, but they're still good looking figures. Although I can't figure out why Leonardo looks so frightened.

I was looking forward to these. And although I'll still end up getting them, I was really hoping they would mute the overall 'shininess' of the figure. I would have loved that 1990 'real reptilian feel' but realize I cant have everything. The SDCC leo prototype seemed to softer in that sense...and he definitely didnt look as scared. I guess its all in his display. In my opinion they left alot to be desired with Bebop and Rocksteady's paint app, and these look like they will follow suit. Some amazing customs will probably come out of these guys though.
